In 1989 I had the chance encounter with the “Financial Industry.” I found myself during the course of a completely unrelated business, visiting an office of Prudential Securities. I remember walking in wondering about this whole business. I had never been exposed to anything like “Wall Street” before and I was fascinated with the very idea. Within 4 months I was working at Prudential as a sales assistant.
A year later, I had the opportunity to grow within this business and I took a promotional position at A. G. Edwards as an Operations Manager. Throughout my tenure as a Financial Services Professional, I held positions as a Financial Advisor, Operations Manager, Major Market Manager and District Operations Manager. Most recently, I was with Morgan Stanley managing the operations of 26 branches and prior to that I was with Wachovia Securities in California establishing a complex of eight individual branches. These were excellent opportunities but I was not working on a very personal, client oriented, level and knew that was where I fit best. I learned all too well that the service side holds much more appeal and interest for me.
Missing Reno, my home, lead me to Legacy Wealth Planning and I find that I am the luckiest person alive to have landed so softly right back where I wanted to be working in a family-oriented environment that sits me comfortably on the client’s side of this fascinating and challenging industry. I am looking forward to growing and becoming a real part of Legacy Wealth Planning. My varied experience is perfect for knowing that Legacy Wealth Planning holds the best of all the different parts of this business. I am a registered member of the securities industry and also hold a license in Life Insurance.
I was raised in Oregon on a cattle ranch and moved to Reno in 1986. In my spare time, I am trying to learn how to golf and I ride my Honda Quad every chance I get. I enjoy skiing, hiking and being outdoors and love to garden. In the fall, that wholesome upbringing shines where I enjoy hunting and spending time canning and preserving some of my favorite fruits and vegetables. I have a son and a grandson who live in Eastern Oregon with the rest of my family. |
